Nakhon Phanom Airport (KOP) is in the Mueang district of Nakhon Phanom province. The Department of Airports operates it.
As of 30 August 2026, Thai AirAsia and Thai Lion Air both appeared on the operator's flight board, and every movement on that board was to or from Bangkok Don Mueang. Thai Lion Air added the route in June 2025.
If you are arriving on a long-haul flight into Suvarnabhumi, that means crossing Bangkok between two separate airports, and that transfer has to be planned in its own right.
The airfield was built in 1962 by Seabees of United States Navy Mobile Construction Battalion 3, funded by the Military Assistance Program, and the airfield opened on 1 June 1963.
Nakhon Phanom has one asphalt runway, 15/33, 2,500 metres long. The airport sits 587 feet above sea level.
Published statistics give it 467,583 passengers and 3,237 aircraft movements in 2025.
The operator gives the address as Na Sai subdistrict, Mueang Nakhon Phanom district, Nakhon Phanom 48000, the telephone number as 042-531-586, the fax as 042-531-587 and the email address as Panom@airports.go.th.
The province itself is covered in the Nakhon Phanom destination guide.
This site holds schedule pages for the Bangkok route in both directions: Nakhon Phanom to Bangkok and Bangkok to Nakhon Phanom.
